Japanese Fermentation is an informational website. It does not provide user accounts, a newsletter form, a contact form or on-site payment processing.
Information collected by this site
The site itself does not ask visitors to submit a name, email address or other personal information.
Hosting and aggregate measurement
The site uses Cloudflare for hosting and security. Cloudflare may process technical request information under its privacy policy.
On reviewed articles, a small first-party script counts visible page views and clicks on our verified Gumroad resource link. We store only a daily UTC total for each article, event type and fixed resource identifier. These are event counts, not unique visitor counts or sales records.
This measurement does not use cookies, browser storage, fingerprinting or cross-site tracking. It does not save IP addresses, user-agent strings, referrers, query strings, names or email addresses. Browser and request information is checked transiently to skip known automated traffic; that filtering is not perfect.
We skip measurement when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled, and on marked test visits. Aggregate totals are available only through the site owner’s administrative access; there is no public reporting endpoint.
External links
Articles link to sources and to our own optional digital resource on Gumroad. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy terms. If you request a download or make a payment there, that service may ask for information such as your email or payment details. Our site does not receive that information through its aggregate measurement. See Gumroad’s privacy policy.
Our own product links are labeled separately from source links. Any future affiliate relationship will be identified on the relevant page.
Cookies and forms
The rebuilt site does not currently operate a contact form, mailing list or first-party advertising cookie. This policy will be updated before any such feature is enabled.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the site adds a new service or changes how it handles visitor information. The revision date will be shown on this page.
